Over a decade ago, Mark Beckloff and Dan Dye set out on the trail to make the best dog biscuits on the planet. As they started researching, they quickly dogscovered that the ingredient labels on many of the store-bought biscuits were downright arf-ul. Sometimes there would be 50 different ingredients listed for a simple dog bone! They were full of chemicals, preservatives, and who knows what else. But perhaps even worse, they were guilty of the ultimate crime... they were BORING! The same old beef, chicken, liver combinations. Enough to put your schnauzer straight into schnooze mode.
And so, at that moment, they made it their mission to make a better tasting and healthier dog biscuit. This meant starting with the best doggone ingredients they could dig up. Whole grains, peanut butter, canola oil, apples, tomatoes , carob, garlic, honey, oats... healthy and all-natural ingredients... stuff you'd feel great about eating yourself.
They sought advice from vets, breeders, dog lovers, pet shop owners, and of course, lots and lots of dogs. For months they experimented out of their own kitchen until finally, and many burnt biscuits later, they arrived at the world's perfect treat. The girls gave it their unanimous bark of approval. All of the neighbors' dogs, co-workers' dogs and friend's dogs were begging for more. It was time to unleash these doggie delicacies on the rest of the world.
